Sage will lead participants on how to transform tin cans into shallow storage bowls or candle holders. Cans can then also be decorated with found metal objects or paint. As a self-taught artist, she has been creating and selling recycled metal art at OFFCenter's sales shop and our Folk Art Festival developing her own techniques along the way. Re:Envision Recycled Art Workshop Saturday April 21, 11 – 2 pm “Steampunk” Style Box or House Recycled Art Workshop with Micaela Seidel “Steampunk” is an aesthetic that mixes the Victorian with the Industrial Age. Think lace and gears, flowers and cogs...In this workshop we will use an assortment of recycled materials and metal tape to create a faux-metal “Steampunk” style house or box. We will finish our art objects with “stress’ marks and “aging” paint to make them look like objects from another time. All materials provided but if you have gears, cogs, washers or unusual items you would like to embed feel free to bring them!
