"It's About Time…" Visual Exhibit of Time and Clock Art
Submit your artistic notions of time from seconds to epochs or put your spin on your own clock.

Drop off art during our regular open studio hours. Limit 2 pieces per artist, any medium. Artists are encouraged to submit artist statements or statements about their work, preferably typewritten.

Come enjoy the "It's About Time" exhibit of clock art and visual notions of time and then jive to the passing beat with a special "Pass the Hat" Coffee House musical performance by the homegrown New Mexican rhythm and blues sounds of Sherri and The Impalas.

Exhibit at the Main Public Library - History of the Folk Art Festival
Opens Friday, August 5th - during regular Main Public Library Hours - 1st and 2nd floor cases.

(Free parking with library validation at the 5th and Tijeras Public Parking Lot)

Thanks to the Main Public Library for hosting an exhibit of Folk Art Festival Memorabilia to help OFFCenter get out the word about Emerging & Folk Artists and the work that OFFCenter does to support them. Check out the giant puppets, past flyers, photos of past years' events, vendors and activities and samples of some of the artwork you can expect to see. 

Upcoming Workshop -- One Million Bones
Friday, August 12th, 1 - 3 pm at OFFCenter Community Arts

Come join us for a fun and meaningful afternoon of bone making from clay - tibulas, ribs, femurs, skulls, etc. for an artistic project that supports the ONE MILLION BONES PROJECT -- a social arts practice working toward raising awareness of the genocides in Sudan, Burma, and the Congo. Bones created in this workshop will be part of the 1,000,000 bones to be delivered to Washington D.C. as a visual protest against genocide. (Brought to you by Naomi Natale of the Cradle Project)
