planting and playing

Planting Seeds, Tilly Strauss, Mixed Media

Planting, 10 am at Mojave Rose, S. Corbett: the community garden group meets to plant seeds for the greenhouse at Addie's place. Bring seeds and planting materials.

Playing, 1 pm Jam Session (every Saturday). Come to listen or play. Call Kay Stillion for information.

Kay writes,
By the way, we have a recital party at Off Center Arts in Albuquerque, 3:30 PM Friday Feb. 11. The performer is a young woman going to UNM.  She had never taken guitar before. She has practiced a lot and is doing really well.  It makes me happy to see some one so deserving earn an iCreate guitar

The community garden hopes to be selling plants at the Farmers Market this summer. With that in mind, Monica Gallion (Moni's Organic Greens) offers a list of the most requested plants and writes,

"Heirloom tomatoes are a hard but not impossible to sell. They include varities like Legend, Siberian, colored tomatoes (orange, black and geen) and Brandywine. Lemon Boys were requested but I never had any. Most folks want hybrid tomatoes."
